Saturday July 7: Coyote Point playground with the Fongs

[Mom] Had a great day here with the Fongs, including a visit to the "dragon playspace" at Coyote Point Park (did I get that right?) about 10 minutes north of their house. Huge play area, with a smaller kids' side and a bigger kids' side - though naturally all our kids roamed between both sides, without paying attention to the official age range.

We had a picnic lunch there, and Tynor and Spencer tried flying kites - without a whole lot of success. Though Tynor did get our kite all the way played out of string once! Good fun running around and trying, anyway: the little ones mostly chasing the big guys running with the kites.

In the afternoon, it was veg time for some very tired folks. Kaitlyn and Britney actually took naps; the rest of us just relaxed for awhile. Alyssa had a piano lesson in the late afternoon, and when Spencer got back from taking her to class, he fired up the BBQ and grilled some yummy chicken and hotdogs for all of us. We ate in shifts, of course, with all the kids! Cory had a treat: his favorite Dino chicken nuggets, that Diane happened to have in the freezer. I thought we wouldn't have any of those until we were back home! Once she warmed some up for him, Kaitlyn and Britney thought they looked tasty too, so the littlest ones had the "early shift" dinner.

Bathtime for N & C after dinner and to bed at their regular times for a change. Boy, were they tired!
